Built for Bangladesh
AIHR BD is not a global tool with a BD skin. Tax slabs, leave policies, working-week patterns (Sun–Thu / Sat–Wed), Bangla payslips, and bKash/Nagad disbursement are first-class — not add-ons.
Always up-to-date
When NBR updates tax slabs or the labour ministry revises a rule, the platform updates centrally. Your historical payroll stays intact, and new runs use the latest rules automatically.
Export anything
Generate salary sheets, TDS challans, bank advice files, and statutory reports as PDF or Excel. Hand them to your auditor or upload directly to the NBR portal.
Payroll compliance in Bangladesh — common questions
What does payroll compliance in Bangladesh actually cover?
Four obligations sit on top of every monthly payroll run: deducting income tax at source (TDS) from salaries under NBR rules and depositing it to the government treasury, running provident fund contributions and gratuity accruals in line with the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (as amended), honouring statutory leave and overtime entitlements, and keeping wage, attendance and payment records that an inspector or auditor can review. AIHR BD handles all four inside one payroll run.
How is monthly TDS on salary calculated and reported?
AIHR BD estimates each employee's annual taxable salary, applies the current NBR slab rates and investment rebate, then spreads the liability across the remaining months of the income year so the deduction stays even. Every payslip shows the deduction line, and the payroll export gives you the salary statement and Form 108 / 108A data your withholding return needs.
How are provident fund and gratuity treated?
PF is configured per company as a percentage of basic salary with matching employer contribution, tracked per employee with an opening balance and full contribution ledger. Gratuity accrues on basic salary per completed year of service under the Bangladesh Labour Act and is settled automatically during offboarding, including pro-rated final months.
What leave and overtime rules are pre-configured?
Casual, sick, earned, maternity and festival leave defaults follow Bangladesh labour standards and can be overridden per company, with eligibility rules such as permanent-only or minimum service. Overtime is calculated at the statutory multiple of the basic hourly rate, approved by the reporting line, and flows straight into the payroll run.
Do labour law and NBR changes reach my payroll automatically?
Yes. Tax slabs, rebate logic and statutory defaults are maintained centrally, so new payroll runs use the current rules while already-approved historical runs stay locked exactly as filed — which is what an audit trail needs.
What records should a Bangladeshi employer keep for an audit?
Keep signed appointment letters, the wage register, attendance records, leave ledgers, payslips, TDS deposit evidence and PF/gratuity statements. AIHR BD stores each of these against the employee record and logs every payroll run, attendance edit and approval with user, timestamp and reason, exportable as PDF or Excel.
