The quietest compliance risk in Bangladeshi HR

Under standard practice in Bangladesh, probation runs three to six months and an employee whose probation is not formally extended or ended is generally treated as confirmed. In most companies nobody is actively watching those dates — they live in an offer letter PDF and a manager's memory.

The consequences are real: confirmation increments applied months late, gratuity and benefit eligibility computed from the wrong date, and disputes at separation because the record does not show what was decided or when.

AIHR BD tracks probation from the join date already on the employee record. You set a default probation length per company, and every new hire gets an end date without extra data entry. HR then works from four simple lists — on probation, due in the next 30 days, overdue, and confirmed — and every confirmation or extension is written to the employee record with a timestamp.

Why teams in Bangladesh choose it

Every probationer in one list

Join date, probation length, end date and current status for the whole company in a single screen.

Due-soon and overdue tabs

See who is confirming within 30 days and, more importantly, whose date has already passed unaddressed.

One-click confirmation

Confirm an employee and the confirmation date is recorded; the employee is notified automatically.

Structured extensions

Extend by a defined number of months rather than leaving the date blank and forgetting about it.

Company defaults

Set a default probation length so every new hire starts with a correct end date automatically.

Notified, not surprised

Employees hear about confirmation from HR through the portal, not through a rumour.

How it works

1

Set the default

Choose the standard probation length for your company — typically three or six months.

2

Hire as usual

Probation end dates are derived from the join date on the employee record.

3

Act on the due-soon list

Review performance before the date arrives, not after.

4

Confirm or extend

Confirm in one click, or extend with a defined period. Both are recorded on the employee file.

Frequently asked questions

Does it create a confirmation letter?

Confirmation is recorded on the employee record, and the AI letter generator can produce the matching confirmation letter for signature.

What if an employee has no probation date set?

They appear in a dedicated 'not set' list so the gap is visible rather than silent.

Can probation be extended more than once?

Yes. Each extension moves the end date and is recorded with a reason.

Who can confirm an employee?

Admin and HR roles only. Employees cannot change their own probation status.
